GOLF TOURNAMENT IS OVER - AND THE PIRATES SET SAIL FOR A NEW PORT
ARRRRRR to all mateys who golfed at Lake Tahoe Golf Course for the Chamber Pirate Golf Tournament on August 17th.   And to all of you who have hoisted your sails and set your course toward the sea, or home, or your real job.  You all did a great job of leaving your mark on the golf course.

Especially the final winners who are:  First Place - the Meeks foursome consisting of Team Captain Buzz Bera and teammates Aaron Earlywine, Colin Griffin, and Steve Yonker.

Meeks was the winning foursome and include Captain Buzz Bera (right) Judy Brown, Lake Tahoe Humane Society, team mates Aaron Earlywine, Colin Griffin, Steve Yonker and Tami Wallace.  Tami and Judy congratulate them with treasures in their treasure chest trophies.

Eric Jammer, Lukins Water, won Closest to Pin on Hole #17 and poses here with Pirate and Golf Coordinator Jan Hansen.

The Longest Drive sponsored by Lew MarNel's Steak & Spirits was won by Justin Keys on Bert's Café foursome.  There were three closest to the pin winners that include Bill Olin on Hole #2 (part of Lake Tahoe Pizza foursome); Brad Ross on Hole #11 (part of Benko/Cromwell foursome); and Eric Jammer on Hole #17 on Lukins Water's foursome.
All par 3 holes had prizes for any golfers who qualified with the chance to win a new Toyota automobile on Hole 6 sponsored by Cardinale Way Toyota.  Unfortunately, no one made a hole in one.

A special thanks to our major sponsors including Meeks, CardinaleWay Toyota, SERVPRO, Borges Chiropratic, Ski Bum Family, Dynamic Web Development, Station House Inn, Lew MarNel's Steak & Spirits, CC's Pirate Treasures, and our tee sponsors, Transformations Hypnotherapy, Dirty Girl Gardening, Mind Body Physical Therapy, Bruce Grego, Attorney, Beachcomber Inn, Sierra Alternators/Battery Bob's, Bert's Café, Lake Tahoe Pizza and Ken's Tire Center.  You all helped make this tournament a success!

WELCOME OUR NEW PRESIDENT
Left to right: Duane Wallace, Dr. Borges, Tamara Wallace

We want to welcome our new President, Dr. David Borges.  Many of you know Dr. Borges from his Chiropractic office in town near the Y.  He has served the community in South Lake Tahoe for decades, and looks forward to being the South Tahoe Chamber of Commerce President to help his fellow local businesses as well as the rest of our community.

We will all miss Duane Wallace, who stepped down recently after a long run as President.  Duane will still serve on the Chamber Board of Directors as Past President.
